Details about how we prepared this comparison
We’ve provided the same set of questions to each political party, asking them whether they supported each of the recommendations from the People’s Review of Renting. We also asked them if they had any additional or alternative policies that sought to address the same goals as they ones we recommend.
Based on their responses we have rated them against the four key goals we have set out in the Peoples Review of Renting.
Parties with policies that will make a material difference to renters we have rated green.
Parties who’s policies may have some limited effect are amber.
Parties who lack policy that will make a difference, or whose policies are likely to do harm to renters are rated red.
The parties have been placed in order of overall support for policies that will make a meaningful difference to renters.
